Creating traditions

Ngo family at refuge camp Indonesia 1980s

I like to use Thanksgiving week as a time to reflect on my family’s journey to America. This year, my parents have been in America for 37 years. Doesn’t seem too long but enough to have 3 generations under one roof.

When I was pregnant, this was the very first book I purchased for their library. Every small way to share with our little one the story of how we got to where we are.

As new parents, we’re trying to create meaningful traditions for our baby. We’re looking for ways to give back and excited to participate in our first Turkey Trot around Lake Merritt as a fun way to give back to charities supporting our community.
